  • Whether your looking to take your personal practice to the next level or book a group chair yoga session, Alice has the skill set and compassion to deliver top-quality instruction. Private lessons provide the space for student inquiry and agency to meet your unique yoga goals.

    Private sessions with Alice can include helpful hands-on assists and sound healing. She is able to provide music, yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, and straps for individual and group use.

    Participants

    A private yoga lesson is a one-on-one session.

    A semi-private yoga lesson can include up to four students of the client’s choosing (i.e. partners, family, or group of friends).

    More than four participants constitutes a group lesson and group rates apply.

    **Alice in Yogaland is not responsible for dividing payment among multiple parties.

    Booking

    Request a session through the website booking tool. Sessions may be scheduled outside of the allotted hours in the scheduling program upon request.

    Travel

    Clients are responsible for securing the location for yoga sessions. Sessions taking place in Alice’s home studio are invite-only and can accommodate up to three students.

    Alice will commute to your location free of charge if it is within 20 minutes from her residence in West Village, Detroit. Read our FAQs for more information.

  • Kid’s yoga is one of Alice’s areas of expertise. She is highly experienced and possesses a unique skill set… Little yogis will shine under her nurturing guidance!

    Through age-appropriate instruction of yoga, breath, and mindfulness techniques, Alice makes the practice beneficial for yogis of all ages, including teens. Depending on the student/s, this offering can include games, crafts, partner yoga, and introspective journaling prompts.

    Alice offers tutoring sessions as well. She holds a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, worked as a first grade for nearly a decade, and was a foster parent to brothers ages 3 and 7. She is passionate about working with children in an academic setting, and specializes in grades PreK- 2nd.

  • Reiki healing is a powerful modality that improves the flow and balance of the system energy. It works on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. Clients report sensations of waves, tingles, sinking, floating, temperature fluctuations, heaviness, lightness, and openness, as well as a sense of heightened intuition and calm.

    Alice serves as a conduit to deliver energy through gentle touch and/or hovering the hands above the body. Reiki is offered as a one-on-one session only. In-person sessions take place on a massage table with the client fully-clothed. Because this work takes place in the energetic plane, physical proximity is not necessary for efficacy and virtual sessions are offered.

  • Teaching yoga is an art, the complexities of which should not be underestimated! Alice can help you take your teaching efficacy to the next level.

    Alice in Yogaland’s mentorship is completely customized to meet your needs. This $500 program includes four 90-minute sessions over the course of two months.

    You create your program by choosing 4 of the 8 following topics that would best serve your needs. We'll dive into each topic through readings, introspection, discussion, practice, and feedback.

  • Alice is a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) and can safely guide expecting mothers through all stages of pregnancy. Practicing yoga during this special time in a woman’s life has so many incredible benefits. A regular prenatal yoga practice can:

    -Decrease discomforts of pregnancy such as lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath

    -Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth

    -Improve sleep

    -Reduce stress and anxiety

    -Teach healthy breathing patterns to aid in labor and birth
